Convert a temperature into every scale at once
A temperature converter turns one reading into the other two common scales at once — Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin — so you don't have to remember or work out the formulas yourself.
Enter a value.
Pick the scale it's currently in.
The other two scales update instantly below.
Water freezes at 0°C / 32°F / 273.15 K, and boils at 100°C / 212°F / 373.15 K (at standard atmospheric pressure). Absolute zero — the coldest possible temperature — is 0 K, or −273.15°C, or −459.67°F.
Convert a forecast between Celsius and Fahrenheit when traveling abroad.
Convert an oven temperature between a US recipe and a metric one.
Convert to Kelvin for physics and chemistry calculations.
F = C × 9/5 + 32. For example, 20°C × 9/5 + 32 = 68°F.
C = (F − 32) × 5/9. For example, (68°F − 32) × 5/9 = 20°C.
0 Kelvin is absolute zero, the coldest theoretically possible temperature, equal to −273.15°C or −459.67°F. Kelvin never goes below zero.
Kelvin is an absolute scale starting at absolute zero rather than an arbitrary reference point, so by convention it's written as "300 K", not "300°K".
