Quiz Generator

Paste text, get a multiple-choice quiz from it

What Is a Quiz Generator?

A quiz generator turns a block of text into a multiple-choice quiz — pick a passage, paste it in, and get back questions built from that exact text, ready to answer and self-check.

How to Use the Quiz Generator

1

Paste a paragraph or article (20+ words).

2

Set how many questions you want and press "Generate Quiz."

3

Answer the questions, then press "Submit Answers" to see your score.

Is This Quiz Generator Free?

Yes — there's no paywall, no watermark, and no sign-up required. Paste your text and the quiz appears instantly.

Does This Quiz Generator Use AI?

No. It uses a rule-based method rather than an AI model: it picks a keyword out of each sentence and blanks it out, then builds multiple-choice options from other keywords found in your text. That means it's instant, and your text isn't sent off to a third-party AI service to generate anything.

How the Quiz Questions Are Created

For each sentence in your text, it picks the longest meaningful word (skipping short filler words like "the" or "and") as the answer, and blanks it out to make the question. The wrong answers are real keywords pulled from other sentences in the same text — not made up — so every option is grounded in what you actually pasted.

What Kind of Text Works Best

  • At least a few full sentences (20+ words minimum)
  • Plain prose — articles, textbook paragraphs, notes
  • Varied vocabulary, so there are enough distinct keywords for good distractor options
  • Bullet-point lists or single words — there aren't full sentences to build questions from
  • PDF or PPT files — paste the text out of them first, this tool doesn't read files directly

Choose How Many Questions to Generate

Set the Questions field anywhere from 1 to 20. The actual count may come out lower than what you asked for if your text doesn't have enough distinct sentences and keywords to build that many.

Take the Quiz and Check Your Score

Once the quiz is generated, pick an answer for each question and press "Submit Answers" — your score appears immediately, right there on the page.

Is It Safe to Paste My Text Here?

Yes — your text is processed for the request only and never saved anywhere. No account or sign-up is required, and it isn't forwarded to any AI service either.

Limitations of This Quiz Generator

  • Only fill-in-the-blank / multiple-choice style, no short-answer or essay questions
  • Picks the longest word in a sentence, which isn't always the most important concept
  • No PDF, PPT, or file upload — text only
  • Needs enough sentence and vocabulary variety to build good wrong-answer options

Benefits of Using an Online Quiz Generator

  • Instant — no waiting on an AI model to respond

  • Self-gradable, with your score shown right on the page
  • Free, with no sign-up required
